Live Wire’s 4-step
Orals Coaching Process
Just as each of your
oral presentations should be crafted to address
the specific needs of each opportunity, our
process is flexible enough to meet your capture
team’s
unique needs too.
Because Live Wire’s Orals Coaching
is built upon its Presentation
Training module, participants
not only learn and practice specific strategies
to address the unique needs of an upcoming
oral presentation, they also learn and practice
general skills that apply to many types of
presentations before internal and external
audiences.
Step One: Preparation for
Orals
- Review the big-picture goals and
individual components of the proposal
- Review client requirements for oral
presentation
- Review and refine win themes and
key discriminators
- Review competitors’ strengths
and weaknesses
- Identify the key presenters
and their roles
Step Two: Message Development
- Identify
the presentation’s
main message(s)
- Organize supporting
themes and messages into a compelling and
cohesive story
- Identify specific goals for each
section of the presentation
Step Three: Deck Creation
- Review current slide deck or help
create one
- Organize individual slides and sections
for effective message delivery and impact
- Create audience benefits for each
section and individual slides
- Identify additional visuals, such
as models, video or films
Step Four: Rehearsal
- Rehearse individuals and
the team as a whole in progressively final
form
- Re-organize materials and
presenters as required
- Fine-tune individual skills,
from introduction to delivering benefits
- Help technical experts
focus on communicating competitive advantages
and audience benefits
- Practice answering difficult
questions
Through this process, your
capture teams will have the ability and confidence
to communicate ideas and persuasive messages
in a credible, concise and powerful way.
