PR Expert and Rising Political Star Joins Live Wire
ALEXANDRIA, Va. (April 2, 2008) — Live
Wire Media Relations, LLC, rated one of the
top media relations firms in the Washington,
DC area by the Washington Business Journal,
announced today its newest team member, David
Englin.
Englin brings to Live Wire a unique combination
of top-level experience in public relations,
public policy, political organizing, and
defense and aerospace affairs. As Vice
President, he will create and manage strategic
communications plans and aggressive media
campaigns at Live Wire for both regional
and national clients, including Raytheon
Intelligence and Information Systems.

Prior to winning elected office, Englin
managed all aspects of top-level communication
strategies as a public affairs officer in
the U.S Air Force. While assigned to
the Secretary of the Air Force Office of
Public Affairs, Englin was the senior manager
responsible for developing, planning, implementing,
and promoting high-visibility, web-enabled
national outreach programs designed to build
and sustain grassroots support. Englin
directed all communications activities for
a wing of more than 500 airmen deployed to
NATO peacekeeping operations throughout the
Balkans. A media training professional,
Englin has prepared some of our nation’s
most senior government leaders to communicate
effectively through print and broadcast news
media.
Named an up-and-coming star of Virginia
politics by The Hotline, Englin
is serving his second term in the Virginia
House of Delegates. His legislative
work includes efforts to strengthen public
education, improve access to health care,
protect the environment, increase housing
opportunities, promote alternative energy,
expand equal rights, and promote fair, efficient,
fiscally responsible government.
With his extensive public communications
background, Englin will provide clients with
the top-level attention and high degree of
professionalism they have come to expect

holds a Master in Public Policy degree from
Harvard University with dual concentrations
in Media Relations and Press, Politics and
Public Policy. He holds a Bachelor
of Science in History from the U.S. Air Force
Academy.
