Account Manager

Live Wire Media Relations, LLC

Responsible for the strategic development, supervision and evaluation of multi-faceted public relations campaigns for clients across various industries. Must demonstrate excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills and the ability to create compelling press materials. Goal-oriented and capable of working quickly and efficiently in a challenging, fast-paced media landscape.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Public Relations:

  • Oversee multiple accounts: client relationship management, media outreach campaign development, strategic counsel and tactical implementation
  • Develop media lists that identify clients’ key media and press contacts
  • Execute successful media relations efforts through identifying and pitching compelling information, developing key messages, and building strong relationships with essential press contacts
  • Pitch, secure, and facilitate media tours, press meet-and-greets, and deskside briefings
  • Serve as point of contact for client communication on project management, campaign execution, and daily client relationship management
  • Develop highly-polished written client materials, correspondence and internal documents
  • Provide strategic counsel to clients on compelling messages, press contact engagement and interpretations of the news cycle
  • Monitor, analyze and report insights on client and industry-related news
  • Track media coverage, generate reporting documents, and demonstrate benefit on behalf of clients
  • Research and identify award opportunities, and draft and submit awards applications
  • Conduct and oversee team brainstorms related to new and existing client management strategies, media relations tactics and digital content campaigns


  • Bachelor’s Degree in public relations, communications, marketing, journalism, English, or a related business field
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in public relations, communications, marketing or journalism; candidates with PR agency experience preferred but not required
  • Understanding of and ability to execute PR plans, strategy, and tactics
  • Comprehensive knowledge of various social media platforms and ability to leverage this knowledge to maximize PR outreach
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a dynamic, creative, challenging and fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, account management, organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Superb writing, editing, and public speaking skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work with others in a team environment
  • Positive attitude in deadline-oriented environment
  • Solid national media placement track record
  • Proficient understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Job Type: Full-time
Salary:  $50,000.00 to $60,000.00 /year
